Grand Tour smallThe mHealth Grand Tour, is organised by the GSMA - the organisation representing the mobile industry, in partnership with IDF Europe, the European branch of the International Diabetes Federation. The event is also organised under the patronage of EU Commissioner Neelie Kroes. More than a bike ride, the Grand Tour is the opportunity to raise awareness of diabetes, a chronic condition on the increase worldwide and in Europe. Another focus of the ride is to stress the importance of healthy lifestyles and physical activity for management and prevention of diabetes.

For this reason, IDF Europe has also partnered with Team Blood Glucose (TeamBG), a not-for-profit organisation of amateur athletes with diabetes which aims at promoting physical activity as an essential tool for diabetes management and prevention.
