Save the date! IDF Europe Symposium at EASD: How can new technologies and social media empower people with diabetes

IDF Europe will hold its second symposium at the 49th Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) in Barcelona on Sunday 22 September 2013.

This year’s symposium will focus on how new technologies and social media can improve the lives of people with diabetes. The symposium will build up on the mHealth Grand Tour bike ride from Brussels to Barcelona, which arrival is planned on 18 September 2013 in Barcelona, a couple of days before the EASD congress starts.

The symposium will be articulated around a varied panel of speakers. Paul Buchanan, founder and CEO of Team Blood Glucose, will be sharing his experience as a person with diabetes riding the Grand Tour. He will be joined by health care professionals and representatives from the mobile industry to discuss how mobile technologies can help empower people with diabetes.
