New report finds that people with diabetes and chronic diseases are at higher risk of unemployment

iStock 000035869678SmallPublished by Eurofound, the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, the report takes a detailed look at the employment situation of people with diabetes and chronic disease in EU Member States and Norway.

The report looks at the prevalence of people suffering from chronic diseases, their employment situation, uneven distribution among occupations and sectors, and their working conditions. It also looks at policies and measures adopted by governments, social partners and enterprises to improve employment prospects and working conditions of people with chronic diseases.

Findings include a higher risk of unemployment, higher exposure to discrimination and lack of access to corporate trainings. For more information, click here.
