Joint Action on Chronic Diseases hosts stakeholders forum in Madrid
Held on 24 October in Madrid, the Stakeholder Forum aimed at building an external cooperation network to support the joint action. The forum brought together partners of related projects and initiatives, policymakers and patients representatives from across Europe. New report finds that people with diabetes and chronic diseases are at higher risk of unemployment
Published by Eurofound, the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, the report takes a detailed look at the employment situation of people with diabetes and chronic disease in EU Member States and Norway.
Findings include a higher risk of unemployment, higher exposure to discrimination and lack of access to corporate trainings. For more information, click here.
Outcomes of the 2014 European Health Forum Gastein
Policy makers and key stakeholders met from 1 to 3 October in Gastein to discuss the opportunities and challenges for health in a changing political context - with a new European Parliament, a new European Commission and international discussions on new global health goals.
