Over these last months, IDF Europe has played an active role in the EU Elections campaign. The Diabetes Pledge has been widely shared on social media and 20 MEPs and candidate MEPs are actively supporting the Pledge. Within the last two weeks of the elections campaign, IDF Europe has also reached out to over 10,000 people on Twitter alone. We will now be focusing on analyzing the results of the elections, identifying and reaching out to future supporters of the diabetes cause. With these efforts, IDF Europe wishes to build a strong foundation for future diabetes advocacy with the ultimate aim of influencing Europe’s health policy and providing support to national diabetes associations across Europe.
