In the Spotlight Launch of upcoming 22-25 May 2014 EU Elections Campaign - All eyes will be on the EU institutions this year with the upcoming European Parliament elections and the subsequent change of Commission. The EU elections are a unique opportunity for Diabetes Associations and IDF Europe to campaign and advocate to MEP candidates.
European political groups are currently drawing up their priorities for the next 5 years. IDF Europe will be shortly releasing an EU elections toolkit, which will give an overview of how the European Parliament functions, why and how you can get involved in the run-up to the elections. In addition, we will be circulating a Monthly EU Elections Focus giving you insight to the various political groups, MEP candidates and diabetes cause supporters. We hope that this toolkit and the monthly focus will provide support to you and your organisations in engaging with your MEPs and candidate MEPs.
The official 2014 EU Elections website recently launched and entitled Act, React, Impact includes top news on latest EU developments, information from Member States on European elections, overview of the biggest European Political Parties, as well as a Press Kit section.
