Poland goes blue for World Diabetes Day

PolandPeople with diabetes, healthcare professionals and volunteers mobilised across the country to celebrate World Diabetes Day in Poland. Inititiaves spread throughout November, including educational seminars for people with diabetes and healthcare professionals, scientific conferences, screening events and charity concerts.

The Polish Diabetes Association also took part in the Blue Monument Challenge, with several achitectural landmarks and monuments lit in blue on 14 November.

The association will be closing this year’s WDD celebrations with their „Crytsal Hummingbird” awarding ceremony, to acknowlegde the work of all the stakeholders involved in improving the lives of people with diabetes in Poland, with prizes for categories including doctor of the year, nurse of the year and volunteer of the year.
